CITY OF ORMOND BEACH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE AMENDMENT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Commission of the City of Ormond Beach, Florida, will hold a Public Hearing at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 22 South Beach Street, Ormond Beach, Florida, to consider administrative amendments to Chapter 1, General Administration, Article III, Definitions and Acronyms, Section 1-22, Definitions of terms and words to amend the definition for principal structure and Chapter 2, District and General Regulations, Article III, General Regulations, Section 2-50, Garages to amend the maximum size of detached garages allowed for properties two (2) acres or greater in size to one hundred percent (100%) of the total square footage of the principal structure. The Ordinance title is as follows: ORDINANCE NO. 2025-36 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1, GENERAL ADMINISTRATION, ARTICLE III, DEFINITIONS AND ACRONYMS, SECTION 1-22, DEFINITION OF TERMS AND WORDS OF THE CITY OF ORMOND BEACH LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE TO AMEND THE PRINCIPAL STRUCTURE DEFINITION AND CHAPTER 2, DISTRICT AND GENERAL REGULATIONS, ARTICLE III, GENERAL REGULATIONS, SECTION 2-50, ACCESSORY USES, SUBSECTION (O) GARAGES, OF THE CITY OF ORMOND BEACH LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE TO AMEND THE MAXIMUM SIZE OF DETACHED GARAGES ALLOWED FOR PROPERTIES TWO (2) ACRES OR GREATER IN SIZE TO ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) OF THE TOTAL SQUARE-FOOTAGE OF THE PRINCIPAL STRUCTURE; REPEALING ALL INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES OR PARTS THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND SETTING FORTH AN EFFECTIVE DATE. ALL PARTIES ARE INVITED to appear and submit oral or written objections or comments. The failure of a person to appear during said hearing and comment on or object to the Land Development Code amendment, either in person or in writing, may preclude the ability of such person to contest the Land Development Code amendment at a later date.
