CITY OF ORMOND BEACH PUBLIC HEARING

CITY OF ORMOND BEACH PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Ormond Beach Historic Landmark Preservation Board (HLPB) will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 4:00 PM, in the Ormond Beach City Commission Conference Room 103, 22 South Beach Street, Ormond Beach, Florida, to consider a request by Dorian Burt, agent on behalf of Victoria Jones, property owner, for a Certificate of Appropriateness to construct a 12' by 25'-glass room conservatory addition on the east side of the single-family residence located at 61 Lincoln Avenue. The original home was constructed circa 1915 and is a contributing property in the Lincoln Avenue Overlay District and on the Ormond Beach Historic Landmarks list. Section 2-71(d)(1) of the Ormond Beach Land Development Code requires a Certificate of Appropriateness, issued by the Board, for any repairs, reconstruction, rehabilitation, alteration, addition or other improvements, that would alter the exterior appearance of a structure or site on the property which is included in the local list of historic landmarks or within a designated historic. ALL PARTIES ARE INVITED TO appear and submit oral or written objections or comments. The failure of a person to appear during said hearing and comment on or object to the application, either in person or in writing, may preclude the ability of such person to contest the application at a later date. Copies of the application are available for inspection by the public in the Department of Planning, Ormond Beach City Hall, 22 South Beach Street, Ormond Beach, Florida. PURSUANT TO SECTION 286.0105, FLORIDA STATUTES, IF ANY PERSON DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE BY THE CITY WITH RESPECT TO ANY MATTER CONSIDERED AT THIS PUBLIC MEETING, SUCH PERSON WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS AND FOR SUCH PURPOSE, SUCH PERSON MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDING IS MADE, INCLUDING THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
