Directors met in a regular session from 5:30–9:33pm. Board Chair Norris presiding.
Present: Alonzo, Campos, Dix, Knox, Martorano, Mayberry-Mayes, and Norris
The directors approved the following items: 5-0
1. Approval of revised agenda
Campos and Knox not present at vote.
The directors approved the following two resolutions: 7-0
1. Resolution Ordering an Election on the Issuance of $265,000,000 General Obligation School Bonds
2. Resolution Supporting the November 4, 2025 General Obligation Bond Referendum
The directors held a public forum for speakers attending in person.
The directors received and discussed the monitoring report for Goal 3, then motioned to table the item until next general meeting: 7-0
The directors approved the following consent items: 7-0.
1. VOTE on All Consent Items
2. Approval of Minutes from September 2, 2025
3. Destiny Library Management Renewal
4. Personnel Recommendations
5. Hudl (Sole Source) SY25-26
6. Statement of Work for RSP & Associates, LLC
The directors approved the other item: 7-0

The directors received the following information only items:

Items of privilege:
Chairs Report: Dix said he is grateful for crossing the first hurdle and mindful that there is still some work to do over the next month and forward to deliver on the vision. Campos shared gratitude to the city and district for their safety implementations, unfortunately a student was struck at a crosswalk walking home and sustained minor injuries. She reminded drivers to remain vigilant around these school zones. Knox invited the community to a Dueling Piano Night fundraiser for the North High Booster Club on November 8th. Then, reminded all to join the annual OneRun coming up and also shared that the grant cycle has officially opened for the Foundation. Mayberry-Mayes recognized National Voter Registration Day and encouraged outreach to those newly eligible voters. Norris thanked all the teachers and staff as they navigate through some of the difficult world events recently.
Superintendent's Report: Dr. Roberts shared how proud he is of the teachers, staff and leaders as they continue to show up for students despite the events.
The directors adjourned at 6:49 then took a brief break followed by their closed session and work session.
The directors approved a motion to go into closed session according to 21.5.1.i: 7-0
Then the board moved into an open work session to discuss the Board Governance structure and manual until 9:33pm.
