Call to Order
The Special Meeting was called to order at 5:33 p.m. by President Josh Bennett.
Roll Call
The following members of the board answered the roll call: Josh Bennett, Nathan Kerns, Mindy Rash, Melissa Pearson and Andrew Ricklefs.

NEW BUSINESS
Travis Squires, Piper Sandler, (via Zoom) addressed the board on the events that happened throughout the day regarding the bond pricing process. We received great investor feedback and interest. With the decrease in interest rates and investor feedback, we were able to secure $19.4M instead of the estimated $18.64M, with the same payment schedule.
A motion to approve the Resolution DIRECTING THE SALE OF $19,400,000 school infrastructure sales, services and use tax revenue AND REFUNDING bondS, SERIES 2025, AND APPROVAL OF BOND PURCHASE AGREEMENT was made.

A motion was made to approve the RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REDEMPTION OF OUTSTANDING TAXABLE School Infrastructure Sales, Services and Use Tax Revenue bond anticipation project noteS, SERIES 2025, DATED August 20, 2025, OF THE gilbert Community School District, STATE OF IOWA, AND DIRECTING NOTICE BE GIVEN.

Consider/Approve FFA Trip to Greece
Adam Davis, FFA Advisor & AgEd Instructor, informed the board of an invitation from the American Farm School in Thessaloniki, Greece, to assist in establishing an FFA-like student leadership program.
Student participation will include 4 FFA alumni past presidents and vice presidents, 2–3 current FFA members, and chaperones: Adam Davis (FFA Advisor & AgEd Instructor), Kent Schwartz (Advisory Council Member & Veterinarian), and Kacey Davis (Educator and female chaperone).
The experience will be completely free to students thanks to community and program support.
The tentative date for the trip is October 3 through October 12, 2025.
