In Loving Memory

Bessie M. Palmore November 23, 1934-December 24, 2024 Our Bessie was born into a loving but poor family in Duncanville, Alabama. There she knew the red dirt and toil of the cotton fields and vowed to rise above poverty through education. In Alabama, Bessie obtained her B.A. (1956) from Stillman College. In Salinas, Bessie happily taught preschool at Boronda and then El Gabilan School, retiring in 1998, much beloved by her students. With a strong faith in God, she attended St. James, CME Church for over 50 years. In 2021, Bessie became a faithful Catholic at Sacred Heart Church where a Mass will be said to mark the 1st year of her passing: 12/23/25 @ 12:15. May God reward your good deeds, mama.
