INIVITATION TO BID Invitation To Bid (ITB) pursuant to R.C. 1545.12. Fairfield County Park District (FCPD) is requesting sealed bids for the purchase of Fairfield County, Ohio parcel #0250006700. Parcel is 1 acre, including building, located at 6935 Clearport Rd SW Lancaster, Ohio 43130 (Property). FCPD has determined that Property is not suitable for development as a park. In accordance with R.C. 1545.12 Property has been offered to all conservation agencies with jurisdiction at this location. Each has declined interest. Now, with approval from the Probate Court, FCPD seeks to offer Property for sale via sealed bid in accordance with R.C. 1545.12. This ITB provides details on what is required to submit a bid for purchase and estimated key dates for ITB process. Marcey Shafer, FCPD Director will be the representative to be contacted in connection with this ITB. Inquiries must be submitted to mshafer@fairfieldcountyparks.org and must include the subject line "6935 Clearport Rd SW". Interested bidders must notify Director Shafer in order to be advised of any changes in Estimated Key Dates or other pertinent information. The submission of oral, telephonic, facsimile, or telegraphic inquiries will not be accepted. Estimated Key Dates are as follows: note, each provided date is for calendar year 2026 and all times are EST. Publication Dates: January 18 & 25 and February 1 & 8, Inquiry Period: beginning January 19 @8:00am ending February 13 @11:00am, Pre-bid Meeting at Property: February 11 @1:00pm, Bid Due/Opening: February 17 @1:00pm, Closing Date: shall be determined by February 20 to be scheduled no later than March 6. Closing will be held at SAS Title Agency, Ltd provided SAS is able to accommodate the needs of this closing. Bids may be mailed or delivered to Fairfield County Park District 9270 Pickerington Rd. Pickerington, Ohio 43147. Each bid must be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope and marked on the outside as "Purchase of 6935 Clearport Rd SW". Bids received after the due date will not be considered. Bid opening will take place at 9270 Pickerington Rd. FCPD shall select the highest and best bid from all suitable bids. FCPD reserves the right to reject any or all bids in response to this ITB, and to waive any irregularities, nonconformities, or noncompliance with the terms of this ITB. FCPD may enter into a contract to have the selected bidder (Purchaser) purchase the property. A contract for purchase shall be provided by FCPD and submitted to the selected Purchaser. In the event that an interested bidder is unable to visit the site at the listed date and time the bidder should notify Marcey Shafer as soon as possible. An alternate date may be provided for all interested parties. No potential bidders are permitted to visit the property without previously contacting Director Shafer and must not visit the property without a representative of FCPD present. Significant dates in connection with the ITB are shown above and are subject to change. FCPD may change any one of the key dates at any time, however, significant changes are not expected before the inquiry period begins. If schedule changes occur after the inquiry period begins, all participants will be notified via email. Any such email announcements shall be considered as an addendum(s) to this ITB. It is the responsibility of prospective bidders to notify FCPD that they intend to bid and to check email on a regular basis for posted addendums, changes, and other ITB information.
