**Notice of Intent to Apply for Community Service Block Grant**
Action Pathways, Inc. (AP, Inc.) announces its intention to apply for funding through the Community Service Block Grant, provided by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Office of Economic Opportunity, for the fiscal year running from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. With this funding, Action Pathways, Inc. will administer the ASPIRE Self-Sufficiency Program.
The ASPIRE Self-Sufficiency Program is a comprehensive, individualized assessment program designed to assist low-income individuals in Cumberland and Sampson Counties in developing the skills necessary to achieve economic independence through employment. Our strategy focuses on providing a range of services to help participants become self-sufficient. This includes job search assistance, skills workshops, budgeting training, educational support, and direct assistance to aid families during their employment search.
The purpose of this public announcement is to invite comments and suggestions regarding the work program. Action Pathways, Inc. will host a meeting at 325 Buie Circle, Fayetteville, NC, on December 3, 2025 at 10:30 AM for Cumberland County residents. Anyone wishing to provide comments or ask questions about the funding or the content of the grant application is encouraged to call an ASPIRE representative at (910) 223-0116 between November 24 through December 3, 2025.
