
Islander Woods Improvements
LEGAL NOTICE
Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Park District of Ottawa County, 770 SE Catawba Road, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452 until 11:00 am local time on October 9, 2025, for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete construction of the project known as the Islander Woods Improvements and at said time and place, publicly opened and read aloud.
Contract documents, bid sheets, and specifications may only be obtained through Environmental Design Group, on behalf of the Executive Director of the Park District of Ottawa County. Complete sets of Bidding Documents will be issued to Bidders only by AA Blueprint, beginning Thursday, September 18, 2025, at a cost of $40.00. Checks or Money Orders are to be made payable to AA Blueprint located at 2757 Gilchrist Rd. Akron, Ohio 44305, or can be purchased on their website www.aablueprint.com.
Questions may be directed by email to acroasmun@envdesigngroup.com, prior to 12:00 noon on Friday, October 3, 2025. Responses will be distributed to all registered holders of bidding documents via addendum posted to the AA Blueprint online planroom.
Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Bid Bond shall be 10% or more of Bid payable to the Park District of Ottawa County as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured. Bid Bond shall be attached to the front cover of the proposal.
Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than August 1, 2026.
All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.
Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Ottawa County and Port Clinton, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations.
The Park District of Ottawa County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award the contract to the lowest and best bidder.
Engineers Opinion of Cost: $372,135.00
The bids shall be sealed and marked in the lower left-hand face of the envelope: "Islander Woods Improvements" and are due before October 9, 2025 at 11:00 am.
