LEGAL NOTICE 160 Honeoye Storage Corporation (HSC), office located at 4511 Egypt Road, Canandaigua, NY 14424, owns and operates an underground gas storage field. Wells and connecting pipelines are located in the Towns of Bristol and Richmond, with a connecting pipeline to the Tennessee Gas Pipeline system located in the Towns of Bristol and Canandaigua. All facilities are located in Ontario County, NY. HSC maintains and operates a Damage Prevention Program for its operations for these pipeline systems. This program includes educating and notifying the public about specific operational requirements and the existence of the program. HSC requires the public to: Notify UDig NY by telephone at #811, at Least 2, but no more than 10, working days prior to digging if you plan to excavate and/or blast.Be aware of gas leaks and other possible emergencies, and if detected, to report them to HSC at 585-229-5161 and/or #911. Signs of gas leaks include hissing sounds, dead vegetation, blowing earth, bubbling water and the rotten egg smell of gas. Emergencies include gas leaks, fire and explosion, natural disasters and/or civil disobedience. If you observe and/or suspect that an HSC pipeline is leaking and/or if you observe an emergency situation, stay away from the area, have others stay away from the area, and call HSC at 585-229-5161 and/or #911.Do not attempt to locate a gas leak with matches or open flames. Do not remain in a building if there is a strong odor of gas. Do not turn lights on or off or unplug electrical appliances where there is a strong odor of gas. Do not use a telephone in the area of a strong gas odor including hanging up an ongoing call.
