Councilmembers Davis, McCoy, Middleton & Clair voted in favor of adopting the ordinance. Councilmember Baker was absent. This ordinance shall be in full force and effective on the 31st day following its adoption and after publication and posting as required by law. ORDINANCE NO. 887 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YREKA, CALIFORNIA AMENDING CHAPTER 16.12.045 OF THE YREKA MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED "ACCESSORY DWELLING UNIT" AND CHAPTER 16.46.170 "ACCESSORY DWELLING UNITS" AND FINDING THE ORDINANCE EXEMPT FROM CEQA The proposed ordinance amends Chapter 16.12 "Definitions" and Chapter 16.46 "Special Provisions" of the Yreka Municipal Code to bring the City's ADU regulations into compliance with State law. The revised ordinance updates definitions and standards, removes outdated requirements, ensures ministerial approval processes, and incorporates all missing state-mandated provisions. Actions taken by the City Council while serving in this capacity shall be final and not subject to appeal rights to the City Council.
