LEGAL NOTICE INVITATION TO BID Sealed Bid Proposals will be received by the Borough of Big Beaver located at 114 Forest Drive, Darlington PA 16115, until 4:00 PM on Monday, June 29, 2026 and the same will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately thereafter for the following: Big Beaver Borough 2026 Road Paving Project and the Proposal for Stone to be supplied for the Big Beaver Borough 2026 Road Paving Project Invitation, preparation, submittal, bidding requirements, all materials furnished and all work shall conform to the current specifications of Penn DOT Publication 408, current edition and appropriate bulletins and related Penn DOT publications. Drawing, Specifications, and Bidding Documents prepared by Martone Engineering and Surveying, LLC, 259 College Avenue, Beaver, PA 15009 are on file and open to review during normal business hours at the Big Beaver Borough Office where sets of said documents may be obtained upon receipt of a non-refundable check or money order made payable to Martone Engineering in the amount of $90.00 plus an additional shipping and handling charge of $10.00 per set for mailing (no fee for Stone Proposal documents). Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes on the forms furnished with the specifications. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid made payable to the Borough of Big Beaver, as guarantee that, if the Bid Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement with the Borough upon Notice of Award of the Contract. The Borough hereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted or any part thereof or items therein. The Borough also reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities or informalities in the bids and to award the contract in the best interest of the Borough. All rules and regulations pertaining to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and related regulations shall apply.
