LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 24th day of June 2026 at 6:30 P.M., the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Vestal Fire District in the Town of Vestal, County of Broome, New York, at a regular meeting thereof, adopted, subject to permissive referendum, the following Resolution: WHEREAS, pursuant to General Municipal Law § 6-g, the Vestal Fire District in the Town of Vestal, County of Broome, State of New York, established the "Capital Improvement Capital Reserve Fund for the purpose of accumulating capital reserves for acquiring, maintaining, repairing, improving, and replacing the buildings and land of the Vestal Fire District; and WHEREAS, the Vestal Fire District is hereby authorized to expend from the "Capital Improvement Capital Reserve Fund" an amount not to exceed $65,000 to pay for the necessary resurfacing of the concrete floor in the apparatus bay of Station #1 as it has been determined to be necessity for the Fire District; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT this Resolution is subject to a Permissive Referendum, notice of which shall be posted and published in accordance with Section 90 of the Town Law. Motion to adopt the Resolution by Commissioner Tomko, seconded by Commissioner Purdy, A vote was then taken upon the motion for adoption with the following results: THOMAS MCCARTNEY, CHAIRMAN VOTING AYE DANIEL KIRCHHEIMER, COMMISSIONER VOTING AYE DAVID HARRINGTON, COMMISSIONER VOTING AYE MARK TOMKO, COMMISSIONER VOTING AYE KEITH PURDY, COMMISSIONER VOTING AYE The Chairman then declared said Resolution adopted by the majority of the permanent vote of the total voting power of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Vestal Fire District in the Town of Vestal.
