PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Zoning Board of Adjustment of the Borough of Ramsey will conduct a Public Hearing on June 17, 2026 at 7:30 P.M. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be reached, at the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 33 North Central Avenue, Ramsey, New Jersey.
The subject matter to be considered will be a land use application of James and Elise Leight, 123 Arch Street, Ramsey NJ 07446 (hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant").
The location of the subject property is 123 Arch Street, Ramsey NJ 07446 and is shown on the Tax Map of the Borough of Ramsey as Block 4807 Lot 9 (hereinafter referred to as the "Property").
The Applicant is proposing to install a 12' x 25' in-ground residential swimming pool and related improvements.
The Applicant seeks the following variance relief:
The Applicant seeks bulk variance relief from Borough of Ramsey Zoning Ordinance 34-4.5(h), which requires accessory structures to be at least 20 feet from any principal building situated on the same lot, where approximately 12.8 feet is proposed for the in-ground swimming pool. The requested relief should be granted because the proposed pool location is most practical, preserves function, meets other setbacks, and will not substantially impair the zoning ordinance or public good.
Applicant will seek any other variances, waivers or exceptions that are deemed to be necessary in connection with this Application.
The Application and supporting materials are on file on file in the Board of Adjustment office and is available for inspection during regular business hours.
