LEGAL NOTICE Notice is hereby given that Rampside Collieries, Inc., 527 Slate Hill Road, Berlin, PA 15530 has requested a Stage III bond release for Surface Mine Permit #56170101, pursuant to the Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act. The site is located west of the Quemahoning Reservoir, north and east of T-741, Pilltown Road, and north and west of T-606, Mastillo Road, on the property of David R. & Cynthia Studer in Jenner Township, Somerset County. SMP #56170101, known as the Studer Mine, was originally issued on July 18, 2017. The entire affected area has been backfilled to approximate original contour and has supported an established growth of a mixture of grasses and legumes for the required minimum time period of 5 years. A bond release of $4,770 is requested on 27.2 acres. The total bond currently held for this permit is $4,770. Written comments, objections, or requests for an informal conference may be submitted to the Bureau of District Mining Operations, 286 Industrial Park Road, Ebensburg, PA 15931-4119 within thirty (30) days following the final (4th) publication of this notice and must include the person's name, address, telephone number, and a brief statement as to the nature of the objection(s).
