LEGAL NOTICE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, DIVISION OF OIL AND GAS RESOURCES MANAGEMENT RE: APPLICATION FOR UNITIZATION BERTRAM N LND GR UNIT GUERNSEY AND HARRISON COUNTIES, OHIO NOTICE BY PUBLICATION Applicant, Ascent Resources – Utica, LLC ("Ascent"), hereby gives notice that the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas Resources Management (the "Division"), has scheduled a hearing pursuant to Revised Code Section 1509.28 concerning Ascent's Bertram N LND GR Unit to occur on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. The hearing will be held via video conference, as set forth below. Ascent seeks to obtain an Order for Unit Operation from the Chief of the Division as to the depths located from the top of the Utica Formation down to the base of the Utica Shale Formation, which is also the base of the Point Pleasant interval, covering the Bertram N LND GR Unit area. The proposed unit area includes lands in Section 9, Township 11, Range 7, Londonderry Township, Guernsey County, Ohio, Sections 10, 11, 17, 18, and 24 Township 11, Range 7, Freeport Township, Harrison County, Ohio, and Section 19, Township 12, Range 7, Freeport Township, Harrison County, Ohio. The surface location for the Bertram N LND GR Unit will be located in Section 9, Township 11, Range 7, Londonderry Township, Guernsey County, Ohio, on Parcel 20-0001440.000. Certain persons own (in whole or in part) various tracts in the Bertram N LND GR Unit and/or have an interest in the production from tracts in the Bertram N LND GR Unit but cannot be located. These persons are identified by reference to the tracts that they have an interest in: Parcels 09-0000480000, 09-0000140.001, 09-0000136.000, 09-0000139.001, 09-0000139.000, 09-0000140.002, 09-0000142.000, 09-0000143.003, 09-0000143.002, 09-0000143.001, and 09-0000141.000 – Owners/Holders: Unknown Heirs, Devisees, Successors and/or Assigns of Connie J. Simplican, deceased, and Ronald Simplican, deceased; Additionally, certain persons may potentially own (in whole or in part) various tracts in the Bertram N LND GR Unit and/or may potentially have an interest in the production from tracts in the Bertram N LND GR Unit but cannot be located.
