Liberty-Perry School Corporation- Notice to Bidders
Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals for the remodel and construction of the Main Office and Public Restrooms at Selma Middle School shall be received at the Liberty Perry School Corporation superintendent's office 105 S. CR 650 East, Selma, in. 47383 until 1:00 p.m. local time on Thursday April 16th, 2026. Bids received after the stated time and day shall be returned unopened.
Bidders must visit and inspect the site in preparation of and prior to submission of their respective bids. Bidders may access the current school building and site by appointment from Heath Dudley, Director of Operations, between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays up to the submission date of their bids. All bidders must check in at the office.
A pre-bid meeting will be conducted on site at the Middle School commencing at 3:30 p.m. on April 8th, 2026.
The bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud at 1:00 p.m. local time on April 16th, 2026 at the Liberty Perry School Corporation superintendent's office 105 S. CR 650 East, Selma, IN. 47383; and then taken under advisement for the owner / architect's review.
The project shall be bid and constructed under a lump sum contract with the owner as delineated in the summary of work in the specifications.
Bidders shall enclose with each bid package bid, Indiana State Board of Accounts Form No. 96, certified bid bond, and non-collusion affidavit. The bid bond shall be in the penal amount of five percent (5%) of each total bid. The bid bond shall be forfeited if bid is withdrawn after closing time on the date for receiving bids.
The construction documents may be obtained from Eastern Engineering Supply Inc. 2810 N. Wheeling Ave., Muncie, IN, 47403 – tel. 765-284-3119 by depositing $50.00 for each complete set. No partial sets will be issued. Deposits for complete sets are fully refundable to each bidder who submits a bon-a-fide bid and if the documents are returned in good condition within ten (10) days after the bid date. Deposit checks shall be made payable to Liberty Perry School Corporation. Additionally, the construction documents may be viewed by appointment during normal business hours at the office of the architect, or the office of the school superintendent.
The successful bidders shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond for 105% of their full contract amount including all accepted alternates prior to execution of their contracts. Performance bonds shall be in full force and in effect for a period of at least 12 months after the date of final completion and final acceptance of the work provided under the contractor's contract.
The owner reserves the right to reject each and every bid, and to waive informalities, irregularities, and errors in the bidding to the extent permitted by law. This includes the right to extend the date and time for receipt of bids. In the event that responsible bids are not received or if it is determined that the sum of responsible bids received is too high, the bids received will be rejected and the project will be revised and or re-bid.
No bidder may withdraw their bid within the 60 calendar days after the bid opening.
Bids shall be submitted in individual sealed envelopes, completely and properly executed, addressed to Liberty Perry School Corporation, submitted on the forms referenced (or a facsimile thereof), together with the other documents required by the instructions to bidders.
