TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: Notice is hereby given by the Palm Beach Country Estates Landowners Association, Inc. intent to apply to the 2026 Session of the Florida Legislature for passage of:
An amendment to the act relating to the South Indian River Water Control District, Palm Beach County, amending ch 2001-313, Laws of Florida amending the districts election and voting procedures, increasing the number of Supervisors from five to six, defining the calculation and the method and number of votes to be cast based upon gross acreage calculated by the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser including factional ownerships, establishes fair and equal voting for areas east and west of the C-18 canal, provides for landowners living east and west of the C-18 canal to be the only landowners to vote for the supervisors that represent the respective side of the C-18 canal, provides process for an initial election, sets a maximum compensation for supervisors, requires competitive bidding for attorney, treasruer and engineer at least every 3 years, removes antiquated landguage regarding a reserve anexation area located west of South Indian River Water Control District, defines the process and procedure for requests from landowners located east of the C-18 canal for the formation of engineering plans and requreis supervisors to accept the results of proper voting and/or notarized petitions, limits the initial project application fee for engineering review of a project area, allows the district to expend funds prior to the assessment for a project, providng an effective date.
