Minutes of a Work Session of The Board of Directors of the United Community School District May 18, 2026 CALL TO ORDER: The United Community School District Board of Education held a board work session on Monday, May 18, 2026, in the United Community Library. Members present included President Jon Davis, Vice President Lori Weyhrich, Rachael Gross, and Kathy Toms. Ben Hershey was not present at roll call. The meeting was called to order by President Davis at 5:04 p.m. Others present were Superintendent Heather Holm, Board Secretary & Treasurer Jenn Meinecke, RSAI representative Margaret Buckton and Mike VanSickle. Ben Hershey attended the work session at 5:17 p.m. FUTURE PLANNING & STRATEGIC DISCUSSION: The Board of Directors held a work session with Rural School Administrators of Iowa (RSAI) to support long-term district planning. The session focused on discussion, information gathering, and strategic planning. No formal board action was taken. ADJOURN: There was no further business for consideration.
