1.Call to Order at 6:30 p.m.
2.Approval of Agenda - Motion to approve the agenda with additions by Maier, second by Carsrud Motion Carried 4-0
3.Public Comment – None
4. Information
4.1 High School Course Guide 2026-27 – High School Principal Dr. Einsweiler discussed suggested updates to the 2026-27 HS Course Guide. Carsrud asked for some further explanations and gave her suggestions regarding the updates being made. The board and Dr. Einsweiler had a great discussion reviewing the topics presented. Dr. Einsweiler will take the boards suggestions to the admin team and bring the HS Course Guide updates back to the board.
5. Action Agenda
5.1 SBRC Applications for Modified Allowable Growth
a. Open Enrollment Out Not on Prior Year's Headcount – Motion by Carsrud, second by Schaack to approve Administration to submit a request to the School Budget Review Committee for a modified supplemental amount of $119,493 for open enrolled out students who were not included in the district's previous years certified count. Motion carried 4-0
b. English Learners (EL) Instruction Beyond Five Years – Motion by Carsrud, second by Schaack to approve Administration to submit a request to the School Budget Review Committee for a modified supplemental amount of $27,239 related to the EL program for students who have exceeded five years of weighting that are included on the Fall 2025 certified enrollment headcount. Motion carried 4-0
5.2 Policy Edits: 407.6 & 413.2 – Dr Gray asked for approval to change the early retirement due date from November 15 to October 15, and to change the early retirement withdrawal deadline from November 30 to October 31. Dr Gray explained these changes will allow Administration to plan ahead for the next school year in a timelier manner. Motion by Schaack, second by Carsrud to approve the date changes to the early retirement due date to October 15 and the early retirement withdrawal deadline to October 31, waiving the second reading. Motion carried 4-0
5.3 Policy Addition – 711.9 - Local Bus Driver Training – 1st Reading – Director of Transportation, Jason Sampson updated the board regarding the 2025 legislation allowing more flexibility for driver training at the local level. Sampson says the state now allows districts to do bus driver training in house as long as the district has a board policy in place, the policy will be reviewed by the board annually. In house training will make it easier to schedule the training instead of waiting for a class to open up at an outside location such as local colleges. Motion to approve the first reading of new policy 711.9, in house bus driver training by Maier second by Schaack. Motion carried 4-0
6. Consent Agenda – Motion by Carsrud second by Maier to approve the consent agenda as presented, also approving the $100,000 early retirement cap be lifted for the 2025-26 year so all retirees will receive their full 45% of their base annual salary for their early retirement benefit. Motion carried 4-0

Nevada High School After Prom selling baked goods to help fund after prom activities Cheer and Dance clinic for little kids to help fund cheer and dance equipment
7. Board Items
7.1 Board Member Comments – Dr Gray would like to move the December 15 board meeting up to 6:00 due to the band/choir concert starting at 7:00 that night. Dr Gray would like to have full participation for the Action Agenda, by changing the time Carsrud and Schaack would be able to participate. The board agreed to move the December 15 board meeting start time to 6:00 pm.
Jaden Grimm proudly talked about winning the 3A State Football Championship. Grimm commented on all the support and sponsors the football team received during the semi finals and championship game.
7.2 The next regular board meeting is Monday, December 15, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.
