NOTICE FOR BIDS MULTI-YEAR CONTRACT FOR GARBAGE COLLECTION & DISPOSAL Sealed bids will be received by the Borough of East Stroudsburg for the collection/pickup and removal/disposal of all garbage, refuse, and other residential waste that may be offered for removal by the eligible households of the Borough of East Stroudsburg, PA, for a multi-year contract period beginning January 1, 2027. The Borough is requesting alternate pricing proposals based on the type of service to be provided. A copy of the instructions, general information, specifications, proposal forms, and contract form to be entered into between the successful Bidder/Contractor and the Borough of East Stroudsburg may be secured at the office of the Borough Manager, Municipal Building, 24 Analomink Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301, Each bid must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Money Order or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the first year's bid made payable to the Borough of East Stroudsburg. Sealed bids must be received at the Borough Office in the Municipal Building, located at 24 Analomink Street, P.O. Box 303, East Stroudsburg, PA. 18301, not later than 10:00 A.M. prevailing time, Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at which time and place said bids will be opened and read aloud. All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked: "GARBAGE COLLECTION & DISPOSAL BID". The successful bidder will be required to furnish a bond or other approved surety guaranteeing the faithful performance of the contract for the period covered by the bid award, in the amounts outlined in the specifications/contract documents. Borough Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids received or parts thereof, to waive any technicalities in bidding, and to award a contract in the best interests of the Borough.
