NOTICE OF CAFRA PERMIT APPLICATION TAKE NOTICE that a Coastal Area Facility Review Act (CAFRA) permit application is being submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), Division of Land Use Regulation, for a development permit as described below: APPLICANT: Spring Lake Bath & Tennis Club APPLICANT MAILING ADDRESS: 1 Jersey Avenue, Spring Lake, NJ 07762 PROJECT NAME: Spring Lake Bath & Tennis Club PROJECT DESCRIPTION: CAFRA Individual Permit for renovations and improvements to the existing Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club, including building additions and reconfiguration, enclosure of existing exterior areas, basement and kitchen expansions, new recreational amenities, and associated site improvements within the existing developed property in the CAFRA area. A 30-calendar-day public comment period or public hearing will be held on this application in the future. A public hearing will be held only if the Department determines that, based on public comment or a review of the project, its scope and environmental impact, that additional information is necessary to assist in its review or evaluate potential impacts and that this information can only be obtained by providing an opportunity for a public hearing. Individuals may request that the Department hold a public hearing on this application. Requests for a public hearing shall be made in writing within 15 calendar days of the date of this notice and shall state the specific nature of the issues proposed to be raised at the hearing.
