NOTICE OF CLASS 2 PERMIT MODIFICATION

NOTICE OF CLASS 2 PERMIT MODIFICATION APPLICATION. CITGO Refining and Chemicals Company, L.P. has filed an application for a Class 2 modification to Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Hazardous Waste Permit No. 50160. The facility is located at 1801 Nueces Bay Boulevard, Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas 787407. The modification formalizes the completion of post-closure care for the Oily Sludge Impoundment (OSI) Unit at the CITGO East Plant. The post-closure care period for the OSI was deemed complete by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) in a letter dated April 21, 2026. This Class 2 Modification modifies the existing permit to reflect the completion of post-closure care for the OSI Unit. A draft permit has not been prepared as of the date of this notice. PUBLIC COMMENT/ PUBLIC MEETING. The applicant will hold a public meeting on this application on August 12, 2026 at 3 PM at The Ortiz Center located at 402 Charles Zahn Jr Dr in Corpus Christi, Texas. This meeting is being held as required by 30 TAC Section 305.69(c)(4). The purpose of the public meeting is to provide information and discuss issues related to the application.
