NOTICE OF DECISION
City of Jersey City Planning Board
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on May 12, 2026, the Planning Board of the City of Jersey City (the "Board") adopted a resolution (the "Resolution") memorializing its decision granting the application of Academy Summit Development LLC (the "Applicant") for a one (1) year extension (the "Application") of the previously granted preliminary and final major site plan approval along with bulk variance, deviation and design waiver/exception relief with respect to properties having street addresses of 216 & 218 Academy Street, Jersey City, New Jersey 07306, and being designated as Block 12204, Lots 14 & 15, on the City of Jersey City Tax Map (collectively, the "Property").
The Board previously approved the Applicant's application to construct a new 10-story mixed use development consisting of 60 residential dwelling units, approximately 9,141 sq. ft. of office space and approximately 1,812 sq. ft. of commercial (office/retail) space along with related site improvements (the "Original Approval) on the Property by way of Resolution P2023-0109 (the "Prior Resolution") and memorialized on May 7, 2024.
The Board now grants the Applicant's application for an extension of the Original Approval through May 7, 2027.
The Prior Resolution and Resolution have been filed with and are available for public inspection at the office of the Board, located at the Division of City Planning, 1 Jackson Square, 2nd Floor, Jersey City, New Jersey 07305, during regular business hours.
