NOTICE OF DECISION
CITY OF MILLVILLE PLANNING BOARD
COUNTY OF CUMBERLAND, STATE OF NEW JERSEY
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on November 10, 2025, the City of Millville ("City") Planning Board (the "Board") adopted a resolution ("Resolution") granting Preliminary and Final Major Site Plan approval, with "bulk" or "c" variance relief to Wal-Mart Real Estate Business Trust ("Applicant"), for property located in the City at 2225-2299 North 2nd Street, and formally identified as Block 233, Lot 27, on the City's tax map (the "Property"), permitting construction of improvements in and around the existing parking lot area including additional signage and striping for the Applicant's online pickup and delivery area, building signage, along with improvements to the façade of the existing Walmart. Specifically, the Board granted bulk "c" variance relief permitting construction of: (i) 8 façade signs, where 1 is permitted, and 8 are currently in existence; (ii) a total of 353.28 s.f. of façade sign area, where 438.1 s.f. was previously approved, and 100 s.f. is permitted; (iii) ten (10) s.f. banner sign, mounted at 18 ft. high on the building, whereas banner signs are not permitted; (iv) a vertical pick-up sign with an area of 4.5 s.f., where 4 s.f. is the maximum permitted; and (v) a pick-up arrow directional sign with a height of 8.5 ft., and vertical pick-up sign with a height of 7 ft. 2 in., where the maximum height permitted is 6 ft.
A copy of the Resolution and supporting documentation is on file with the Board at the City's Municipal Building located at 12 South High Street, Millville, New Jersey, 08332 and is available for review by interested persons during regular business days or hours, or may be obtained by contacting the Board Secretary. This Notice is given pursuant to the Municipal Land Use Law N.J.S.A. 40:55D-1 et seq.
