PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on May 11, 2026, the City of New Brunswick Planning Board (the "Board") adopted a resolution (the "Resolution") granting Preliminary and Final Major Site Plan and minor Subdivision approval together with design waivers to AST NEW BRUNSWICK LLC (the "Applicant") to consolidate 15 lots and subdivide the resulting lot into two new lots: new lot 14.04 containing approximately 47,364 square feet upon which an 8 story office building and surface parking lot will be constructed and new lot 14.03 containing approximately 47,453 square feet upon which a surface parking lot will be constructed; with additional off site parking provided (the "Project") on property designated as Block 144, Lots 14.01, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20.01, 22.01 and 37 through 44 on the City of New Brunswick tax map (the "Property"), commonly known as 170 New Street. The Project is located in the New Redmond II Redevelopment Plan Area and conforms with its provisions. The Applicant is the designated redeveloper.
As part of the approval, the Board granted the Applicant the following design waivers: landscaping, two-way driveway width of 24 feet where 30 feet is standard, and the location of curb cuts in proximity to property lines.
A copy of the Resolution and a copy of the application, together with all maps, papers and supporting documents filed with the Application, are on file in the Office of the Department of Planning, Community and Economic Development, 25 Kirkpatrick Street, Second Floor, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 and are available for public inspection during the Borough's regular business days and hours.
