NOTICE OF DECISION
CITY OF RAHWAY PLANNING BOARD
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Board of the City of Rahway ("Board"), at its regular meeting held on July 22, 2025, voted to grant Preliminary and Final Major Site Plan approval with Bulk Variances and Design Exceptions (collectively the "Approval") to the Applicant, 799 Martin Street, LLC, for the property located at 799 Martin Street, designated as Block 300, Lot 5 on the official tax map of the City of Rahway, and located in the I-H Heavy Industrial Zone ("Zone").
The Approval permits the conversion of an existing one-and-a-half-story residential dwelling to a commercial office use, which use is permitted in the Zone. The Approval included the following relief:
Bulk Variances for lot area, lot width, lot depth, front and side yard setbacks, and lack of a required loading space; andDesign Exceptions including, but not limited to, insufficient setback for parking/pavement, insufficient landscape buffers, non-conforming fence location and material, insufficient distance between curb cuts, and front yard parking use for employees.
All conditions of the Approval and the Board's findings are detailed in the Resolution of Memorialization adopted by the Board on August 26, 2025 ("Resolution").
A copy of the Resolution and all supporting documents are on file and available for public inspection in the Office of the City Clerk, City of Rahway, 1 City Hall Plaza, Rahway, NJ 07065, during regular business hours, excluding holidays.
This Notice is provided in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:55D-10(i).
