NOTICE OF DECISION
Please take notice that the Borough of Haddon Heights Planning Board ("Board") has granted an application for development filed by 18 White Horse Pike Redevelopment, LLC, successor to Haddon Heights Senior Citizens Housing Corporation ("Applicant") regarding real property located at the southwestern corner of the intersection of the White Horse Pike and Green Street and designated as block 24, lots 4 and 5 on the municipal tax map. The Applicant's property is currently improved with St. Mary's Church, offices and rectory on lot 5, as well as a parking lot on lot 4. The Board granted preliminary and final major site plan approval to allow the demolition of a portion of the rear of the existing church building and construction of a new multi-family residential building behind the reduced church building. The multi-family residential building will include 37 age-restricted senior apartment units of which 6 units will be restricted for low and moderate income senior citizens. The Board also granted minor subdivision approval pursuant to which the existing lot line between lots 4 and 5 shall be moved in order to create two revised tax lots – proposed lot 5.01 for the reduced St. Mary's Church and proposed lot 4.01 for the proposed multi-family residential use. The Board also granted approval of the proposed improvements under its historic preservation ordinance.
The Board granted this application on April 16, 2026 and its decision was memorialized in a written resolution that the Board adopted on July 16, 2026. A copy of the memorializing resolution is filed in the office of the municipal administrative officer. A copy is available to any interested party for a reasonable fee and is available for public inspection during municipal business hours.
