NOTICE OF ELECTION ON TAX LEVY IN EXCESS OF THE TEN MILL LIMITATION NOTICE OF ELECTION ON TAX LEVY IN EXCESS OF THE TEN MILL LIMITATION R.C. 5705.19(G) Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of a Resolution of the Board of Township Trustees of the Township of Newark of Licking County, Ohio, passed on the 8th day of January, 2026, there will be submitted to a vote of the people at the Primary Election to be held at the regular places of voting on Tuesday, the 5th day of May, 2026, the question of levying a tax, in excess of the ten-mill limitation, for the benefit of the Township of Newark for the purpose of general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repair of streets, roads and bridges. Tax being an additional that the county auditor estimates will collect $174,556 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.5 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $53 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's market value, for a period of 5 years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027.
