NOTICE OF FILING OF APPLICATION FOR CAMA MAJOR DEVELOPMENT PERMIT The Department of Environmental Quality hereby gives public notice as required by NCGS 113A-119(b) that the following applications were submitted for a development permit in Areas of Environmental Concern as designated under the CAMA: On July 7, 2026, Fredericka & Gregg Goldenberg proposed to remove most of the existing private docking facility to construct a newly designed & expanded docking facility with a total of four (4) slips/boatlifts at 21 Sandy Pt., adj. to Banks Channel, Figure Eight Island, Wilmington, New Hanover County; And on July 7, 2026, Delamar NC, LLC proposed a Major Modification to State Permit No. 102-25 for three (3) 600 ft.+ access piers over navigable waters which would add 30 additional slips for a total of 38 formalized boat slips, creating a residential marina at Sloop Point Rd. including parcels 409 & 409B Cole Rd., adj. to the AIWW in Hampstead, Pender County. Comments mailed to Tancred Miller, Director, Division of Coastal Management, 400 Commerce Avenue, Morehead City, NC 28557-3421, prior to August 3, 2026 will be considered in making the permit decision. Later comments will be accepted and considered up to the time of permit decision. Project modification may occur based on review and comment by the public and state and federal agencies.
