NOTICE OF FILING OF APPLICATION FOR CAMA MAJOR DEVELOPMENT PERMIT The Department of Environmental Quality hereby gives public notice as required by NCGS 113A-119(b) that the following applications were submitted for a development permit in Areas of Environmental Concern as designated under the CAMA: On July 8, 2026, Final Landing of NC, LLC proposed to construct a five (5) slip docking facility w/ covered platform and also proposed to excavate a new access channel approx. 24'-32' W x 220' L to a maximum depth of -3.5' Mean Low Water (MLW) and tapering to -4.0' MLW at the southern riparian boundary at 1465 Final Landing Ln, adj. to Little Creek/AIWW, Wilmington, New Hanover County; And on July 8, 2026, James and Margaret Wallace proposed to expand a private docking facility from two (2) to three (3) formalized boat slips at 718 Channel Blvd., adj. to Banks Channel in Topsail Beach, Pender County. Dept. of Environmental Quality, Division of Coastal Management, 127 Cardinal Drive Ext., Wilmington, NC 28405, during normal business hours. Comments mailed to Tancred Miller, Director, Division of Coastal Management, 400 Commerce Avenue, Morehead City, NC 28557-3421, prior to August 3, 2026 will be considered in making the permit decision. Later comments will be accepted and considered up to the time of permit decision. Project modification may occur based on review and comment by the public and state and federal agencies.
