NOTICE OF HEARING
HOLLAND CHARTER TOWNSHIP
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
Please Take Notice that a public hearing will be held at Holland Charter Township Fire Station No. 1, 131 Riley Street, Holland, MI 49424, by the Holland Charter Township Zoning Board of Appeals on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. or thereafter, to hear and consider the following matters:
1. Consideration of a petition for Nonuse Variance submitted by Dave Timmerman for vacant, unaddressed property located on Mason Street, known specifically as Parcel Number 70-16-35-200-030. Petitioner is requesting variances consisting of: 1) 2,352 square feet from the maximum 720 square feet permitted for detached accessory building area, resulting in a 3,072-square-foot detached accessory building; and 2) 6 feet 8 inches from the maximum 16 feet permitted for detached accessory building height, resulting in a 22-foot 8-inch tall detached accessory building. The subject property is AG Agriculture and FP Floodplain.
Any interested person may appear at such hearings in person or by agent or attorney. Copies of the application and other documentation are available for public inspection at the Township Office from the hours of 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. on regular business days. The Charter Township of Holland will provide necessary and reasonable auxiliary aids and services at this hearing, such as signers for hearing-impaired persons and audiotapes of printed material for visually impaired persons, upon receipt of five days prior notice.
