NOTICE OF PLAN COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING TO DISCUSS AN AMENDMENT TO THE TOWN COMPREHENSIVE PLAN 2040 Notice is hereby given that the Plan Commission of the Town of Clayton will hold a Public Hearing at 6:30 pm on August 12, 2026, in the Town Hall Meeting Room located at 8348 Hickory Ave, Larsen, WI 54947. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider and receive public comment regarding the following Amendment to the Town's Comprehensive Plan 2040 pursuant to Wisconsin Statute § 66.1001(4): Amendment: The Town seeks to amend Comprehensive Plan 2040 to correct drafting errors in the amendments made by Ordinance 2026-001, adopted January 21, 2026: (a) a subject-verb agreement defect in the amendment to Chapter 8, page 7; (b) the reproduction of unamended text in the amendment to Chapter 11, page 30; and (c) unfilled drafting placeholders in the Appendix F amendment table. No new zoning authority is created or modified by this Amendment. After the Public Hearing, the Plan Commission will consider the Amendment and make a recommendation regarding the Amendment to the Town of Clayton Board of Supervisors. The Town Board of Supervisors will then consider the Amendment, taking into account the Plan Commission's recommendation, at a public meeting to be held on August 19, 2026, at which meeting the Board of Supervisors may take action on the proposed Amendment.
