Notice is hereby given that Shari Montgomery, on behalf of the House of Promise, has filed an application for a Special Land Use Permit, issued Case No. 26-003 SLU, which would amend the existing Special Land Use Permit No. 24-03 SLU for expansion of a private school facility. Special Land Use Permit No. 26-003 SLU, if granted, would allow the applicant to construct two new buildings in accordance with the existing private school use located at 15275 Francis Road, Lansing, MI 48906. The proposed expansion includes one new boarding facility containing seven bedrooms and one additional building to be used for office and related support functions. The approximately 5.45-acre site is located in Section 27, on the east side of Francis Road, north of the I-69 exit ramp, Parcel No. 19-150-027-200-043-00. A public hearing will be held to consider this application on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 7:00 pm at the Watertown Charter Township Hall, South Room, 12803 South Wacousta Road, Grand Ledge, MI 48837. Written comments may be directed to the Planning and Zoning Department office at the above address and will be received until the time of the public hearing. All written comments will become part of the official public hearing record. Individuals with disabilities needing special accommodation to fully participate in the meeting may contact the Clerk to request the necessary assistance. This request must be made at least two business days prior to the public hearing
