NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF MOUNT PLEASANT TO CONSIDER A LOCAL LAW TO OVERRIDE THE LIMIT ON THE AMOUNT OF REAL PROPERTY TAXES THAT MAY BE LEVIED BY THE TOWN FOR THE 2026 FISCAL YEAR PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town Board of the Town of Mount Pleasant, New York shall conduct a public hearing at the Town Hall, located at 1 Town Hall Plaza Valhalla, New York on the 25th day of November, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. to consider a proposed local law to override the limit on the amount of real property taxes that may be levied by the Town of Mount Pleasant, pursuant to General Municipal Law § 3-c, and to allow the Town of Mount Pleasant to adopt the 2026 Town budget for (a) Town purposes; (b) fire protection districts; and (c) any other special or improvement district governed by the Town Board for the 2026 Fiscal Year, that requires a real property tax levy in excess of the "tax levy limit," as defined by General Municipal Law § 3-c. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, a copy of the proposed local law is available for review in the Town Clerk's Office. PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that at the public hearing upon said proposed local law an opportunity to be heard in regards thereto will then and there be given to those favoring adoption of such proposed local law and also those opposed thereto.
