NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF COLONIAL HEIGHTS, VIRGINIA
Notice is hereby given to all persons affected or interested that at the Colonial Heights City Council meeting to be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in Council Chambers of City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia, the City Council shall hold a public hearing to accept comments on the following:
AN ORDINANCE NO. 26-13
To adopt a revised General Pay Plan Class and Salary Range that adds a new job title of Assistant Director of Public Works – Operations to Grade 18 and adopts the corresponding job description and class specification; adds a new job title of Victim/Witness Program Assistant to the list of part-time positions; increases the maximum of each grade's salary range by 2.5%; removes the Utilities Superintendent position; and changes the Senior Automotive Mechanic title to Automotive Mechanic on the list of part-time positions.
To adopt a revised Public Safety Step Plan that adds a new job title of Police Officer Recruit to Grade P-101 and adopts the corresponding job description and class specification.
A copy of the proposed ordinance is on file for public examination during regular business hours in the City Clerk's Office in City Hall, 201 James Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia; on the City's website www.colonialheightsva.gov; or may be received by calling the City Clerk at 804-520-9360. All persons affected or interested are invited to be present at the public hearing of the City Council, to be held at the time and place stated above, when an opportunity will be given for them to be heard.
