
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
COACHELLA VALLEY PUBLIC CEMETERY DISTRICT
REGARDING ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE AMENDING COMPENSATION POLICY AND ADJUSTING COMPENSATION FOR TRUSTEES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of Trustees of the Coachella Valley Public Cemetery District ("District") will conduct a public hearing at 8:00 a.m. on October 17, 2025, in the boardroom at the District Offices located at 44801 Village Court, Palm Desert, CA 92260 for the purpose of receiving public comments concerning the adoption of a proposed Ordinance regarding District Board of Trustees' compensation. The proposed Ordinance would limit the amount of stipends available to Trustees to twenty-four (24) per year, with potential for additional compensation for service days beyond the established meeting limit, as permitted by state law.
Any person desiring to make comments or present information or protests to the Board may make an oral presentation at the public hearing and may submit written comments, information, or protests for the Board's consideration by delivering them to the District Offices prior to the time of the hearing.
A copy of the Proposed Ordinance will be available for review at the District Offices, beginning September 16, 2025, and copies may be obtained on request.
