NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
HOLLAND CHARTER TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:
1. That the Planning Commission of the Charter Township of Holland, Ottawa County, Michigan, will hold a public hearing at the Holland Charter Township Offices, 353 N. 120th Avenue, Holland Charter Township, Ottawa County, Michigan on Tuesday, the 6th day of January, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., or thereafter, to hear and consider the following matters:
(a) Consideration of an amendment to the Holland Charter Township Comprehensive Plan (Master Plan) to incorporate the Township's 2025 Housing Analysis as "Chapter 8" and the Plan, including previous Future Land Use Map amendments, as the Township's guide for development through 2040.
(b) Consideration of a request for a Planned Unit Development, Preliminary Development Plan for Chick-Fil-A, submitted by Michael Lewis of Chick-Fil-A Inc. The proposed development would consist of a dual-use development containing the existing Chick-Fil-A and existing Quality Car Wash. The proposed Planned Unit Development would allow Chick-Fil-A to expand their outdoor meal delivery operation by creating a second drive-thru lane. The subject property is zoned C-2 Community Commercial and is located at 2332 and 2352 North Park Drive, known specifically as Parcel Numbers 70-16-21-100-046 & -045 respectively in Holland Charter Township, Ottawa County, Michigan.
(c) Consideration of a Special Land Use Permit approval for a wetland mitigation bank. Petition is submitted by Randy Koetje of Koetje Builders & Dev LLC for vacant land located at northwest corner of Quincy Street and 120th Avenue, described more specifically as Parcel Number 70-16-04-400-026. The subject property is zoned AG Agriculture.
(d) Consideration of a Special Land Use Permit approval for a specialized training school involving martial arts training. Petition is submitted by Mark Tomasik of Innovative Design P.C. on behalf of Kevin Irwin of Guardian Jiu-Jitsu Academy for land located at 12330 James Street, Suite D10, described more specifically as Parcel Number 70-16-21-200-080. The subject property is zoned C-2 Community Commercial.
(e) Consideration of a Special Land Use Permit approval for a contractor's facility with outdoor storage. Petition is submitted by Diane Sinclair of Sinclair Recreation for land located at 176 E Lakewood Boulevard, described more specifically as Parcel Number 70-16-20-275-029. The subject property is zoned C-2 Community Commercial.
2. That any interested party may appear at such hearings in person, or by agent or attorney.
3. That written comments concerning the above matter(s) may be filed prior to the hearing with the Holland Charter Township Planning Commission at the Holland Charter Township Offices, 353 N. 120th Avenue, Holland, Michigan 49424, at any time Monday through Friday, other than a legal holiday, during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Written comments may also be filed at the hearing, by telephone, or may be emailed before the meeting to: coreyb@hct.holland.mi.us. 4. That copies of the above requests are on file at the Holland Charter Township Offices, 353 N. 120th Avenue, Holland, Michigan, and may be inspected by any interested party during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, other than a legal holiday.
5. This notice is posted in compliance with Public Act 267 of 1976, as amended, the Open Meetings Act, MCL 41.82a, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Charter of Holland Township will provide necessary reasonable aids and services, such as signers for the hearing-impaired and audiotapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting upon five days' notice to the Charter of Holland Township in writing or calling the Clerk's Department at 353 N. 120th Avenue, Holland, Michigan 49424, Telephone (616) 396-2345.
