NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ADEL IN THE STATE OF IOWA, ON THE MATTER OF GRANTING AN ACCESS EASEMENT TO FAIRFAX PROPERTIES, LLC, ACROSS PROPERTY LOCATED EAST OF THE CITY'S WATER TOWER ON MEADOW ROAD PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Adel in the State of Iowa, will hold a public hearing at its meeting on October 14, 2025, at 6:00 P.M., at Adel City Hall, 301 S. 10th Street, Adel, IA 50003, at which meeting the Council proposes to take action on the granting of an access easement to Fairfax Properties, LLC, across property located east of the City's water tower on Meadow Road, which is legally described as follows: Part of Parcel "BB" of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 31, Township 79 North, Range 27 West of the Fifth P.M., City of Adel, Dallas County, Iowa, as shown on a Plat of Survey recorded in Book 2015, Page 16277 in the Dallas County Recorder's office, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest Corner of said Parcel "BB", thence S89°42'46" along the South line of said Parcel "BB", 61.78 feet to a point on the West right of way line of Meadow Road, as presently established; thence N00°10'58"W along said right of way line, 33.00 feet; thence N89°42'46"W, 61.67 feet to a point on the West line of said Parcel "BB"; thence S00°00'06"E along said line, 33.00 feet to the point of beginning. At the time set for the public hearing, interested individuals will be given the opportunity to express their views, both orally and in writing, on the proposed conveyance. After the public hearing, the Council may make a final determination to accept or reject the proposal as submitted, or upon condition that certain terms be changed, or the Council may defer action on the proposal until a subsequent meeting. The proposed transfer may be subject to conditions as may be stated either in the resolution of the City Council, or documents entered into between the parties.
