NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JOHNSTON IN THE STATE OF IOWA, ON THE MATTER OF THE PROPOSAL TO CONVEY AN EASEMENT INTEREST IN REAL PROPERTY, AND THE HEARING THEREON PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of Johnston in the State of Iowa, will hold a public hearing on November 17, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 6221 Merle Hay Road, Johnston, Iowa, at which meeting the Council proposes to take action on the proposal to convey an easement interest, pursuant to a proposed Easement Agreement, to the City of Des Moines across certain City-owned real property, which real property is collectively described as follows: PART OF THE NORTHWEST FRACTIONAL 1/4 OF SECTION 18, TOWNSHIP 79 NORTH, RANGE 24 WEST OF THE 5TH P.M., CITY OF JOHNSTON, POLK COUNTY, IOWA DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT A, L.A. A copy of the Easement Agreement is on file for public inspection during regular business hours in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, City of Johnston, Iowa. At the above meeting the Council shall receive oral or written objections from any resident or property owner of said City, to the proposed Easement. After all objections have been received and considered, the Council will at this meeting or at any adjournment thereof, take additional action on the proposal or will abandon the proposal to authorize said Easement Agreement.
