NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FEES FOR THE COLLECTION OF TRASH, RECYCLING, AND YARD WASTE AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF SOLID WASTE Property owners and other interested parties in the Town of Speedway, Indiana (the "Town") are hereby notified that a public hearing on Ordinance No. 1421 (the "Ordinance") will be held at a meeting of the Town Council (the "Council) on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., pursuant to Ind. Code § 36-9-30-21. The meeting of the Council and the public hearing will be conducted at the Speedway Municipal Center, 5300 Crawfordsville Road, Speedway, IN 46224. Subject to the time limits and procedural rules established for the hearing, property owners and other interested parties may appear and be heard at the public hearing. The Ordinance will be eligible for further action following the public hearing. The hearing may be continued from time to time at the option of the Council. The Ordinance provides for an increase in the monthly fee per residential property to $17.26 which includes the combined collection of trash and garbage, yard waste, and recycling material, and administrative fees, and shall be billed to each residential unit and collected in conjunction with other utility services provided by the Town.
