NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE is hereby given that the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing in Room 118 of the County Courthouse at 117 Dick Street, on October 6, 2025, beginning at 9:00 am, or as soon thereafter as may be heard in accordance with N.C.G.S. 158-7.1(c) to receive public comments on the proposed grant of economic development incentives being considered for "Project Superman,". The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on a proposed Economic Development Incentive being considered for "Project Superman," a U.S.-headquartered company that is considering an expansion of its current operations in Cumberland County. The project shall (1) create a significant investment in real and business equipment that will increase the tax base by $22,000,000 over the next five years, and (2) create 42 full-time jobs in the County by 2029 with an average wage exceeding $66,700. The County's proposed incentive offer consists of an incentive grant not to exceed $363,550 and will be paid over five years. All interested persons are invited to attend and present their views.
