NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Career and Technical Education Consortium (CareerTEC) has scheduled a public hearing for 1:30 p.m. April 9, 2026, at the CareerTEC office (2037 W. Galena Ave., Freeport, IL). The hearing will seek input from parents/guardians, CareerTEC employees, and other community members prior to finalizing the renewal draft of the consortium's E-Learning Plan, which was last approved in 2023. The Illinois State Board of Education requires that E-Learning Plans be renewed every 3 years and a public hearing be part of the renewal process. Written statements relating to the E-Learning Plan also can be emailed to CareerTEC director Brian Greene (brian.greene@fsd145.org) or sent via US Mail or hand delivered to the above address.
