NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that on May 28, 2026, a public hearing will be held by the Marion Port Authority (the "Authority") in the Conference Room of Marion County Regional Planning Commission, 2nd Floor, 222 W. Center Street, Marion, Ohio 43302, commencing at 10:00 a.m., with respect to the proposed deemed reissuance of the Marion Port Authority Variable Rate Revenue Bonds, Series 2013 (Altenheim Project), originally issued in an aggregate principal amount of $6,500,000 (the "Bonds"). The proceeds of the Bonds were used (i) to finance the acquisition, construction, installation, equipping and improvement of 25 licensed residential care facility apartments and attendant common areas comprising approximately 31,000 square feet, (ii) to pay capitalized interest on the Bonds and (iii) to pay certain expenses incurred in connection with the issuance of the Bonds, not to exceed 2% of the sale proceeds. The facilities financed with the proceeds of the Bonds are all located on the Strongsville campus of West Side Deutscher Frauen Verein (the "Borrower" or the "Altenheim"), 18627 Shurmer Rd., Strongsville, Ohio 44136, in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The proceeds of the Bonds were loaned by the Authority to the Borrower pursuant to a loan agreement. The Bonds are special obligations of the Authority, payable solely from funds provided as loan payments by the Borrower, and will not constitute a debt or a pledge of the faith and credit or the taxing power of the Authority or any agency, instrumentality or political subdivision of the State. The operator of the financed facilities is the Borrower. This public hearing is required by section 147(f) of the Code. Persons wishing to express their views on the proposed deemed reissuance may appear at the hearing or may submit their views in writing. Any written submissions should be sent to the attention of Doug Hafer, President of Marion Port Authority, at Suite 2002, 222 W. Center Street, Marion, Ohio 43302, clearly marked "Re: Altenheim Project". Written submissions should be mailed in sufficient time to be received on or before 10:00 a.m. on May 28, 2026.
