Notice of Public Hearing
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING PROPOSED JEFERSON COUNTY ORDINANCE IMPOSING A TEMPORARY MORATORIUM ON DATA CENTERS
The Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners ("Board") hereby provides notice of a public hearing to which interested persons are invited to attend and participate to consider adoption of the following ordinance:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF JEFFERSON COUNTY, FLORIDA DECLARING A TEMPORARY MORATORIUM ON THE ACCEPTANCE, REVIEW, PROCESSING, OR APPROVAL OF APPLICATIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT PERMITS AND DEVELOPMENT ORDERS FOR DATA CENTER FACILITIES; PROVIDING FOR THE AREA OF APPLICABILITY; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The public hearing will take place at the following date, time, and location:
June 18, 2026 @ 6:00pm EST, 435 West Walnut Street, Monticello, FL

If any person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board of County Commissioners with respect to any matter considered at the above-described public hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings, is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
