NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Bondurant has received voluntary annexation petition from the property owners of Parcel 7922-05-100-003 requesting annexation of the following property described as follows into Bondurant's city limits:
THE NORTHWEST QUARTER (NW ¼), EXCEPT THE WEST 1,315.75 FEET THEREOF, OF SECTION 5, TOWNSHIP 79 NORTH, RANGE 22, WEST OF THE 5TH P.M., POLK COUNTY, IOWA, SUBJECT TO EXISTING ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY AND EASEMENTS OF RECORD. SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 1.25 ACES AND THE OVERALL TRACT CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 87.94 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, SUBJECT TO AN EXISTING TILE AND DRAINAGE EASEMENT AND OTHER RESERVATIONS, AND RESTRICTIONS OF RECORD, IF ANY; AND
THIS ANNEXATION ALSO INCLUDES ANY AND ALL COUNTY ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY TO THE CENTERLINES OF THE ADJACENT ROADS.
This annexation area falls within two miles of the city limits of both Mitchellville and Altoona.
City Council will hold a public hearing on the 3rd day of August, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Bondurant City Center at 200 2nd Street NE, Bondurant, Iowa, at which time the Council will hear public comments on the proposed annexation of said property.
