NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER AMENDING PROVISIONS OF THE BUILDING REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF GRIMES, IOWA, PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE, FUEL GAS CODE, FIRE CODE, RESIDENTIAL BUILDING CODE, BUILDING CODE, EXISTING BUILDING CODE, AND CREATION OF THE SWIMMING POOL AND SPA CODE AND TITLE 3 BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS REGARDING 3-6 BOARD OF APPEALS. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Grimes, Iowa, will meet at the Grimes Community Complex, 410 SE Main Street, in the City of Grimes, Iowa, at 5:30 p.m. on the 28th day of October, 2025, at which time and place the City Council will hold a public hearing on amending the Building Regulation associated with "11-3 Property Maintenance Code, 11-4 Fuel Gas Code, 11-6 Fire Code, 11-8 Residential Building Code, 11-11 Building Code, 11-12 Existing Code and Creation of 11-13 Swimming Pool and Spa Code, and Title 3 Boards and Commissions regarding 3-6 Board of Appeals". Such amendment is set forth in the proposed Ordinance(s) entitled as follows: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GRIMES, IOWA, BY AMENDING THE REGULATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE, FUEL GAS CODE, FIRE CODE, RESIDENTIAL BUILDING CODE, BUILDING CODE, EXISTING BUILDING CODE, AND CREATION OF THE SWIMMING POOL AND SPA CODE, AND TITLE 3 BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS REGARDING 3-6 BOARD OF APPEALS. The proposed Ordinance(s) is by this reference made a part of this Notice. All interested persons may appear at the public hearing and at such time and place the Grimes City Council will consider any objections to the proposed amendments described above and give all interested per­sons an opportunity to be heard.
