NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF MARCY
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE TOWN OF MARCY ZONING MAP AND THE
TEXT OF "UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT CODE" ("UDC")
THURSDAY, APRIL 30, 2026 AT 6:00 P.M.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE. that a public hearing will be held by the Town Board for the Town of Marcy, Oneida County, New York, on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. (prior to the regular Town Board meeting) at the Marcy Municipal Building and Town Hall, 8801 Paul Becker Road, Marcy, New York, for the purposes of considering amendments to the Town of Marcy's Zoning Map and the text of "Unified Development Code" ("UDC") (Local Law No. 2 of 2016), pursuant to Section 265 of the Town Law, the applicable provisions of the Municipal Home Rule Law, the UDC and any other applicable laws, rules and/or regulations.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that the Town Board is considering amending Town's Zoning Map so as to change the zoning of properties in the Trenton Road area from BP (Business Park) to MU-G ( Mixed Use General) so as to impact the following parcels as shown on the following County of Oneida Tax Maps:

TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, the Town Board will also consider text amendments recommended by the Planning Board, so as to require a permit when placing a fence along a property line, and the clarification and/or amendment of various definitions including "Frontage," "Basement," "Lot Width," and "Yard Setback," and a provision regarding loading and unloading on properties.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that the environmental significance of the proposed amendments will be reviewed by the Town Board of the Town of Marcy incident to, and as part of said public hearing.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that copies of the amendments and the entire UDC are available for review at the office of the Town Clerk, 8801 Paul Becker Road, Marcy, New York during normal office hours Monday through Thursday 8:30 am until 4:00 pm, and Friday 8:30 am until 12:00 pm; or can be viewed online at: townofmarcy.org.
