Notice of Public Hearings The Black Mountain Town Council will meet on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Room of Town Hall, 160 Midland Avenue, Black Mountain, NC. The purpose of this meeting is to hold public hearings for 1) text amendments to Chapter 9, Section 9.10, Guidelines for Administrative Adjustment of Signage Regulations, to add an allowable maximum administrative adjustment of up to thirty percent from the right-of-way and the property line for ground signs, cantilevered ground signs, and development identification signs. 2) An additional public hearing will be held for text amendments to Chapter 1, Section 1.7.3, Variances, to remove the requirement that only signs in the historic district are allowed to seek a variance from the sign regulations.
