NOTICE OF RECEIVING BIDS
Notice is hereby given that Greater Lafayette Public Transportation Corporation (CityBus), Lafayette, Indiana will receive sealed bids at CityBus Offices located at 1250 Canal Road, Lafayette, Indiana 47904 until 1:00 P.M., July 9, 2026. Bids will be opened publicly thereafter. The formal Award of Construction Contract is anticipated to be made at the CityBus Board of Trustees meeting scheduled for Wednesday July 22, 2026 at 5:00 pm at the CityBus Conference Room, 1250 Canal Road, Lafayette, Indiana 47904.
This project includes upgrades to the existing gas monitoring system at multiple buildings within the CityBus facility. All work is more particularly described in Contract Documents prepared by DLZ Indiana, LLC, dated June 18, 2026.
Contract Documents are on file and available for review and purchase from ARC document Solutions, 1303 Northside Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana 46615; tele: (574) 287-2944; email: southbend.orders@ae-arc.com. Bidders may also log on to ARC Document Solution Public Plan Room at https://order.e-arc.com/arcEOC/Secures/PWELL_PrivateList.aspx?PrjType=pub, to place an order, view plans and specifications, as well as the Bidder's List. Bidders may choose their method of shipment via UPS, Federal Express, or Courier Service and must include their UPS or Federal Express Shipper Account Number. The Bidder will be billed directly for the direct cost of printing and shipping.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be conducted on June 30, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the project site. Bidders may also visit the sites at their convenience; contact in advance Mr. Shawn Coffman for any issues regarding site access, tele: (765) 420-2955; email: scoffman@gocitybus.com.
Bids shall be properly and completely executed on the Bid Form provided and accompanied by a non- collusion affidavit, Form 96 of the State Board of Accounts, financial statement, bid bond or certified check, each for a value of not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bidder's total bid amount, including all alternatives bids items and other items as noted. The guarantee shall be made out to: Greater Lafayette Public Transportation Corporation.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish Contract Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of their contract amount prior to execution of contracts. Bonds shall be maintained in accordance with IC 36-1-12-13.1 and 36-1-12-14. Bonds shall be in full force and effect for a period of at least 12 months after the date of Final Completion of the Contract.
This project is fully funded through the Federal Transit Administration monies. Greater Lafayette Public Transportation Corporation and this project is required to meet all federal procurement guidelines and requirements for federal procurement.
Greater Lafayette Public Transportation Corporation is required to enroll in and verify the work eligibility status of all its newly hired employees through the E-Verify program.
Pursuant to Indiana Code 5-22-16.5 Greater Lafayette Public Transportation Corporation may not contract with a person who is engaged in investment activities in Iran.
Greater Lafayette Public Transportation Corporation reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, waive all informalities or irregularities in bidding and to resolicit bids.
The Greater Lafayette Public Transportation Corporation will utilize evaluation criteria set forth in the bid pursuant to I.C. 5-22-7-2 and the bid shall be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder pursuant to I.C. 5-22-7-8.
