NOTICE OF RULE DEVELOPMENT BY
THE SCHOOL BOARD OF OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA
The School Board of Okaloosa County, Florida, pursuant to the provisions of §120.54, Florida Statutes, hereby gives notice that it is developing a new School Board policy which will amend the current policy 06-37, the title of which is: Electronic Resources Technology Acceptable Use Policy - Employees. The proposed amendments to the policy provide restrictions on the acceptable use of smart glasses or other similar wearable technology by school district employees while on duty or on School District property. The purpose and effect of the proposed amendments to the policy to implement rules regarding the acceptable use of smart glasses or other similar wearable technology by school district employees while on duty or on School District property. The specific legal authority for the proposed policy is §1001.41, Florida Statutes.
